-My Big Little Brother-

My brother you are gone

It feels so wrong

I know you still had a song

I’m going to miss you my whole life long

We were artists together when we were kids

First doing what the other one did

Then pushing the other to go beyond and open the lid

You went all the way with your self expression, and I slid

Now I hold the pen while the rest of your dreams are hid

You lived a life full of dichodemy

Raspy and sweet

Irresponsible and neat

Integrity and grit but also a cheat

Loose with your life and never missed a beat

Darkness and pain always dealing with the heat

Yet never fully letting the light and the love in from your head to your feet

You are brilliant my Brother

You have a creative streak and a spirit like no other

You have left your creative trail behind for me to uncover

I will do my best to show the world how you loved her

You and I always sweetly held each others hearts

Uplifted one another with anything we would start

Far sometimes in distance but never apart

Always gave each other love, peace, grace and art

We built an indestructible bridge from heart to heart

The lane was always open, 24/7 365

We shared what we felt and what mattered most in our lives

Always meeting eachother with understanding, acceptance, and good advice.

There is no love like the love of Alex as my brother, It’s the whole pie not just a slice

Pure, uncomplicated, unconditional love you for you kind of love, no divides

Except now the divide is between the living and the not

Your body is gone, no more breath or beat of your heart

I’m left with your Spirit, Song Lyrics and Art

I would trade it all in for you again

But that is just my grief bargaining

You came here and did what you were meant to do

You opened your heart and let out what was true

We may not all understand why you did or didn’t do

But I’ll never stop feeling the love and never stop loving you.

Blessing from Alex

Love Strong because the strength of love will heal the quarrels of this planet. 

Love Long because the time that we are given we should never take for granted. 

Love On because the momentum of the heart is a force that should always be expanded. 

Love the Song because the music of the Soul is what always keeps us dancing.
